Who We Are?

Boys Hostel Seema     is the heartbeat of residential life at Raja Virbhadra Singh Govt. College Seema. Established to house students from diverse backgrounds, we’re a government-run hostel facing the realities of limited resources and high demand. Every year, hundreds of students apply, but only a few secure a spot due to a competitive merit-based system. Delays in the merit list and administrative hiccups often leave deserving students in the lurch—a challenge we’re determined to address.

Our mission?   To provide a safe, affordable, and supportive space where students can study, grow, and connect. Led by our warden and student representatives, we’re working to improve transparency and facilities, one step at a time. This website is our platform to share our story, highlight our strengths, and push for change.

From the Warden’s Desk

“Running this hostel is both a responsibility and a privilege. We house over 100+ students, and while our resources are stretched, we work tirelessly to ensure a supportive environment. Admission is tough because we prioritize merit and need, but I acknowledge the system isn’t perfect. Delays in the merit list happen due to administrative hurdles beyond my control. Still, once you’re here, we offer clean, shared rooms with basic furnishings—beds, desks, and storage. Our dining hall serves nutritious meals, though we’re working on variety. The common room is a space for relaxation, with a TV and some games, but I encourage students to voice their needs so we can improve. My door is always open.”

Vivek Thartwan -Head Boy

"To me, this hostel is more than just a place to stay—it’s a community where we look out for one another. I like to keep things straightforward, whether it’s sorting out an issue or enjoying a quiet moment with friends. My aim is to make sure everyone feels comfortable and settled here. If you ever need a hand or just someone to talk to, I’m here."
